The Packetstorm is a unique ship with a special mission. The yang of our clan is the spirit of hands-on combat. We are the yin. We live the belief that there are many ways to advance the clan and to defeat our opponents. Killing your opponents is only one way to defeat them after all. And there are times when our opponents do not even know what hit them. Literally. Moreover, there are many things that make a clan excellent other than PvP. We make sure the clan is strong in these other areas as well. We have to be successful with the community, we have to be able to disorganize and marginalize our adversaries, we have to make sure our voices dominate in the community, and we have to be stronger than any skills loadout.
Here are some of the things members of this ship have done:
- Infiltrated enemy organizations
- Marginalized opposing enemy clans, helping to make the game and the community a less welcoming place for them. They left.
- Done each and every neighborhood exile mission, writing up the results
- Worked on community events
- Won access to all the forums of a competing clan from its leader
- Built alliances with other clans
And we share in PvP as well. But our approach is more than that. There are many ways to advance the clan and the machinist cause, and we embrace them all. The history of MxO has shown us that one-trick clans seldom endure. Our clan’s strength comes from having many different types of people and skills, and being able to advance our clan in the most possible ways. That’s where the strength of Packetstorm is. We are fighters; we are writers. We shoot with guns, and we kill with words. And for the things that we do, it doesn’t matter what your level is or what your loadout is.
It just matters who you are.
