Welcome to The Odysseus.

I'm looking for something very specific with this ship, support roles. The support roles have always been underappreciated by most people, sometimes even by those people who rely on them, but without the individuals who provide support roles most sustained efforts fall apart.

In The Matrix these support roles manifest in the form of coders, medics, and hackers. I want those of you who want to pursue this road to feel at home on The Odysseus. Also, there will be a few positions available for "guards." These guards, as the name implies, will find it to be their duty to protect our coders, medics, and hackers in times of need.

In time I would hope that we could provide The Collective with the resources needed to fight our enemies and pursue our goals with our medics and hackers joining in on fights that would have been lost without them. I see the importance of these "non-combat" roles, and encourage them.

Also, before applying for this ship, you need to understand my point of view. Zion was fighting a war against the machines, Zion had The One on their side, and Zion failed to bring down the machines. Now The One is dead, and Zion is still trying to bring down The Matrix. If Zion failed when they had The One, how could they hope to succeed without him? Zion wants to unleash humanity on a dead world incapable of supporting humanity. Zion wants to destroy itself apparently.

The members of this ship shouldn't be fighting to find some sort of eternal unity with the machines, but instead they should fight to defend the peace between the humans and machines in hope that the world can one day be repaired, perhaps with the machines' help if we develop a true alliance.

As the philosophy states I am looking for coders, medics, and hackers, with a couple guards to throw in the mix so we're not forced to call on the other ships whenever we need a little muscle. If you read the philosophy, like what I'm saying, and want to join, post a thread with your character's personality, personal beliefs about the Matrix(the matrix itself, not the movies), and why /you/ want to join The Odysseus.
